Position Summary

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for leading talent acquisition efforts and supporting all areas of human resources for the organization. This role serves as a key resource to leadership and staff by providing expertise in recruitment employee relations onboarding performance management compliance and employee engagement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional with strong nonprofit recruiting experience and a passion for building a mission-driven workforce.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for all positions within the organization.
• Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract qualified and diverse candidates.
• Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and hiring priorities.
• Screen applicants coordinate interviews conduct reference checks and facilitate offers.
• Build relationships with community partners colleges workforce development programs and professional organizations.
• Manage the applicant tracking system and maintain recruitment metrics.
• Coordinate job fairs networking events and recruitment outreach efforts.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve retention and reduce turnover.

Human Resources Support

• Assist with employee onboarding orientation and offboarding processes.
• Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
• Assist with policy implementation.

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
• Support HR audits and reporting requirements.

Training & Development

• Coordinate employee training and professional development opportunities.
• Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.
• Assist with performance evaluation processes.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.
• Minimum 3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
• Experience in nonprofit social services homelessness services behavioral health or community-based organizations strongly preferred.

Salary Description

Salary 75k Annually
