Vanderbilt Health is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide home health physical therapy services throughout Nashville, TN and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities. This PRN home health role offers flexible weekday hours, one-on-one patient care, and the opportunity to help patients improve mobility and regain independence while working with the support of a nationally recognized health system.

Responsibilities PRN Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant

• Provide home health physical therapy treatments in patients' homes
• Carry out individualized treatment plans developed by supervising Physical Therapists
• Promote mobility, functional independence, and home safety
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility strategies
• Document care accurately and timely in EMR systems
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, RNs, physicians, and other interdisciplinary care team members
• Travel throughout the assigned home health service area

Qualifications Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Required

• Active Tennessee Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
• Minimum of one year of PTA experience (home health experience not required)
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to work independently in the home setting
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record

Preferred

• Experience with EMR systems
• Home health or outpatient rehabilitation experience
• Strong understanding of functional mobility and rehabilitation techniques

Training & Orientation Schedule Expectations

• New Hire Training: Held on Mondays
