Orthopedic Physician Assistant Opportunity

This full-time Physician Assistant will provide orthopedic care in a dynamic clinical setting in June Lake, CA, collaborating with surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to treat a diverse patient population. The position offers the opportunity to practice in a premier mountain community while delivering high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic care in collaboration with surgeons and the healthcare team
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for orthopedic conditions and injuries
• Assist with management of patients undergoing total joint and knee procedures
• Evaluate and treat sports-related injuries, including skiing and snowboarding
• Participate in assessment and treatment of acute orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions
• Assist surgeons with surgical procedures and provide perioperative patient care
• Perform patient histories, physical examinations, and orthopedic assessments
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory tests within scope of practice
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and findings
• Provide preoperative and postoperative education and follow-up care
• Monitor patient recovery and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other professionals

Qualifications:

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current California Physician Assistant license
• DEA license
• BLS certification
• NCCPA certification (preferred or required per organizational standards)
• Demonstrated excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Skills:

• Three or more years of orthopedic experience
• Experience in orthopedic surgery, total joint, knee, sports medicine, or musculoskeletal care
• Experience treating skiing, snowboarding, and other sports-related injuries
• Comfort working with an active, non-geriatric patient population
