Phlebotomist

This position requires proficiency in blood collection via venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all age groups, including pediatric patients and those requiring difficult draws. A comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety is essential, as well as the ability to effectively communicate these principles to other employees. The role also involves providing orientation and training for patient service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Conduct pediatric blood collections and handle difficult draws.

Essential Skills

• CPT 1 License
• Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting, or 3+ years in outpatient with high volume.
• Ability to perform blood collections from patients of all age groups.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Good attitude and proven track record of attendance.

Work Environment

The work environment includes outpatient clinics in locations such as Coachella Valley, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, and Indio. Training will be conducted on-site at Riverside, initially scheduled for full-time hours. Candidates must be open to working 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as well as weekends and holidays. Dress code requires wearing scrubs. Flexibility is required for on-call and per diem work, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts in Riverside and Moreno Valley areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm Desert, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
