Physical Therapist - Skilled Nursing Facility in Waterville, Maine. Start date: 11/02/2026. This is a travel, temporary assignment for a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours and a weekly pay range of $2,426–$2,500. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations for residents, establishing individualized treatment plans aligned with short- and long-term goals.
- Administer therapeutic interventions, including gait training, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular reeducation, balance training, and functional mobility activities.
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, adjust treatment plans, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team.
- Implement discharge planning and progress toward functional goals, collaborating with nursing, physicians, and therapy aides as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, documentation requirements, and facility policies; participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Active Physical Therapist license and eligibility to practice in Maine (or current licensure as applicable)
- Experience in or demonstrated comfort with a skilled nursing/geriatric rehabilitation setting
- Ability to participate in a travel assignment and meet the schedule requirements above
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; proficient in patient documentation and progress reporting
- Capacity to work the stated shift and maintain the guaranteed hours
