What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble turbocharger components and subassemblies following work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and electric tools to complete assembly operations.
• Place parts into fixtures and safely handle materials throughout the production process.
• Operate basic machinery and production equipment efficiently and safely.
• Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
• Rotate between workstations approximately every three hours to support production needs.
• Lift components into and out of machines and secure parts using electric tools.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify defects and ensure product quality.
• Follow standard operating procedures and production processes consistently.
• Read and understand written work instructions to complete daily tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written instructions and established production processes.
• Dependable work history with consistent attendance and stable employment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production experience.
• Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with production lines and repetitive assembly work.
• Strong safety mindset and commitment to following procedures.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.90/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
