The Tax Preparer plays a crucial role in assisting clients with the accurate and timely preparation of their tax returns. This position involves gathering financial information, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing clear explanations to clients to maximize their tax benefits and minimize liabilities.
** Responsibilities **
- Collect and review financial documents to prepare tax returns accurately.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Calculate tax liabilities, deductions, and credits to optimize client returns.
- Communicate with clients to clarify financial data and answer tax-related questions.
- File completed tax returns electronically or via mail within deadlines.
