Day in the life

You’ll execute precision electroplating on RF connector components and keep plating baths in top condition so every coating meets aerospace standards and NADCAP expectations. Your work blends hands‑on part preparation and plating with routine wet‑chemistry controls to deliver uniform, defect‑free finishes.

What you’ll do

• Prepare micro and small components by cleaning, masking, racking, and fixturing for consistent current distribution.
• Run electrolytic deposition cycles (gold, nickel) while monitoring temperature, pH, and current density (ASF).
• Perform basic analytical checks (titrations, pH) and make chemical additions per specification limits.
• Visually inspect and measure coating coverage and thickness; identify and correct common process issues.
• Maintain production travelers, bath control logs, and full lot traceability to meet NADCAP/AS9100 documentation requirements.
• Apply all safety, environmental, and chemical‑handling procedures at every step.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1–3 years of electroplating or metal finishing in a production setting (preferred).
• Working knowledge of plating chemistry and bath health fundamentals.
• Comfort following detailed, regulated procedures in an AS9100/NADCAP environment.
• Excellent dexterity and attention to detail for small parts work.
• Solid basic math and documentation skills.

Proficiencies

• National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP)
• AS9100 experience

• Stable bath parameters within spec and timely, accurate log entries.
• Consistent coating thickness and coverage with minimal rework.
• Adherence to all EHS and quality procedures.
