Take the next step in your career and join a winning team!Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Shop Helper will perform various shop duties assisting mechanics in repairs, cleaning, receiving/shipping, washing of equipment and other similar tasks.Essential Functions of the Job:Conduct minor repairs and servicing to equipment as directed by the Service ManagerFollow procedures outlined in the work orders and policy handbookMaintain a clean and respectable facility, shop equipment, work environment, and parking areasAssist Heavy Equipment Mechanic as neededPick up and deliver parts as neededWear company-supplied uniform when conducting company businessMaintain and organize shop and storage areas - ensuring proper storage of flammable itemsOperate all company-owned equipment and vehicles in a safe, lawful, and respectful mannerKnowledge, Skills and, Abilities (KSA's):Must be organized and possess the ability to multi-taskMust be self-motivated showing complete accountability, timely in all assignmentsMust possess the ability and willingness to learn and possibly advance to Heavy Truck MechanicMust have the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructionsEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDRelocation not available for this position.EOE Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled | Drug-Free WorkplaceWe are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
