Personal Banker Associate I - Rutherford County

Overview Selected candidates will become a Retail Personal Banker I after completing a 4‑8 week onboarding program, including rotations in operations and Sales & Service. Candidates will receive certification upon completion, enabling them to perform roles within the Retail Personal Banker job family. Key Responsibilities Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify current and future financial needs. Maintain knowledge of retail consumer and small business products and recommend appropriate solutions. Use CAMP and other marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews. Primarily cross‑sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities such as Membership Advantage presentations, business calls, community events. Collaborate with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, Investment) and refer customers for holistic financial solutions. Meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals, enhancing year‑over‑year revenue growth measured by the Financial Center P&L. Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes. Promote customer satisfaction with friendly, professional demeanor. Own customer issues, act with confidence, answer questions, and maintain confidentiality. Adhere to policies for opening, servicing, and closing retail products; participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes. Participate in opening/closing of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed. Stay current on retail procedures to mitigate fraud and risk. Qualifications College degree or comparable work experience providing transferable skills. Experience in the financial industry preferred. Ability to develop comfort level with sales activities and acquire new customers or cross‑sell. Understanding of advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information. Professional appearance and communication skills. Knowledge of retail policies and procedures for sound decision making. Required S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at time of employment. Working Conditions Normal office environment, computer setup. Training requires travel within affiliate and occasional outside trips for classroom sessions. Location Smyrna, Tennessee 37167.
