Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is seeking a Veterinary Kennel Assistant to join our team! Our Kennel team is dedicated to the care and comfort of our patients while providing critical support to the veterinary team.

In this role, you will focus on patient husbandry and care as well as general housekeeping duties throughout the hospital. You will provide meals and walks to boarding patients, administer medication, and monitor for any medical or behavioral concerns while providing detailed documentation about your observations. You will ensure kennels, common spaces and treatment areas are sanitized and well stocked with supplies.

This position is ideal for those who are self-driven, detail-oriented, enjoy cleaning and organization, and are committed to contributing to a team-focused environment.

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $ 14-17 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a flexible, full-time or part-time position with availability needed: Monday – Friday with rotating weekends.

Your qualifications:

• 1+ years of kennel assistant, boarding, doggy daycare, FFA/4-H, or related animal care experience preferred
• Provide compassionate care for boarding dogs and cats, including medications, feeding, walking, and kennel/cage maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe hospital through janitorial and housekeeping responsibilities
• Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
• Strong work ethic, dependability, attention to detail, and a positive team-oriented attitude
• Passion for animal care with a willingness to learn and grow within the veterinary profession
