Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer sedation, monitor patient vital signs, and assist during cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures.
  
  
• 
  Prepare patients and equipment, including placing IVs and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready.
  
  
• 
  Circulate, observe, and respond to patient needs throughout procedures, documenting care in Epic efficiently.
  
  
• 
  Assist physicians and radiologic technologists during procedures, providing sterile support and troubleshooting equipment.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate with the team for patient safety, managing post-procedure recovery and documentation.
  
  
• 
  Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current state RN license with at least 1 year of cath lab experience.
  
  
• 
  BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  
  
• 
  Familiarity with Epic, Cupid, Vocano, and Impella equipment preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong understanding of cardiology procedures, including Dx & interventional cardiology, PCI, TEEs, balloon pumps, pacers, event recorders, and defibrillators.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with staggered shifts and on-call requirements.
  
  
• 
  Prior travel experience is highly preferred.
