Our rapidly growing company seeks an eager and hard-working professional to join our team as a Commercial HVAC Project Manager to oversee the execution of commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, duct work, and chiller replacement mechanical service contracts from award through final completion. This exciting career opportunity will provide operational, mechanical, and administrative support across the Service Operations Department. The Project Manager operates both independently and in concert with all Service Operations team members and is ultimately responsible for the short-term and long-term performance of the Service Operations projects. The primary areas of responsibility are financial performance of projects, work quality, customer base maintenance, and customer satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Performance: Meet required project margin, revenue, and operating income requirements by working closely with sales, construction operations, and techs to ensure collaboration between departments.Work with the Leadership Team to develop an annual operating budget. Staffing: Work with Service Operations Manager to maintain and publish Monthly manpower projections. Coordinate with Human Resources to recruit and hire as needed. Quality: Establish quality standards with a system to measure, grade, and record.Perform regular field inspections.Use work quality evaluations as a review objective for all staff. Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer retention rate and warranty call back rate. Safety: Maintain a companywide safety program ensuring employee participation at every level. Training:Promote employee training and development programs. Overseeing RFI’s from initial drafting through official responses and final implementation. Submitting, documenting, and ensuring completion of fully executed change orders. Accurately forecast revenue monthly to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual plans. Responsible for: Project Knowledge – Must allocate the necessary amount of time to fully understand the requirements of each project. This includes but is not limited to project plans, specifications, and contracts. Job Progress Coordination – Assess project progress and effectively communicating with the Service Operations Manager to ensure technicians are scheduled with sufficient time to perform required tasks. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of five years of progressive experience in commercial HVAC, temperature control, and/or the electrical industry; a bachelor's degree in a related technical field preferred. At least three years’ experience in project management, estimating, or engineering of commercial HVAC systems. Proven experience in corporate settings or customer-facing roles involving daily client interaction, team scheduling, and the delivery of exceptional customer service. Experience managing HVAC service operations; familiarity with controls systems a plus. Proven ability to oversee multiple crews and manage multiple concurrent projects. Project Management experience within a commercial HVAC environment is preferred. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project, as well as general software navigation; experience with MS Teams and Smartsheet is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, reference check, and background check. Excellent leadership skills to enhance team productivity and standards of work produced. Proficient in working with others to plan, conduct, and report work efforts. Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments. Must be able to manage and prioritize a large workload. Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical information into clear, easily understood communication for a wide range of audiences. Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance consistent with the role, recognizing this is a customer-facing position where proper representation of the company is essential. Experience managing budgets for commercial HVAC or building automation controls projects. Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information. Exhibits strong ownership, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and a collaborative, professional approach to teamwork. Work is performed in a primarily office environment including remote locations or on-site at project locations. Project locations include work sites in commercial, industrial, institutional buildings, or other construction areas including outdoors environments. Physical Demands: Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Remain in a sitting position at a desk for extended periods of time. Frequent and repeated hand and arm movement to manipulate objects. Frequent lifting up to ten pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items.
