Engrg.Work Schedule:Onsite – Torrance, CAMoog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support our Manufacturing Engineering Group at our plant in Torrance, CA. Reporting to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and you will have a 9/80 schedule on-site work in Torrance, CA.Moog Military Aircraft provides flight control equipment and systems to the world’s leading military platforms. The primary area of responsibility is developing and maturing manufacturing processes for production hardware.Key responsibilities:New Product Introduction (NPI):Performing drawing reviews to ensure the application of DFMA principles.Development of quality based and cost effective manufacturing processes.Tooling design for all operations requiring holding fixtures and / or specialized cuttingPerforming critical analysis during prove out of manufacturing processes, troubleshooting and revising as necessary to achieve the targeted quality yield and efficiency.Legacy Programs and Production Environment:Work with the operations team to support continuous improvement activities in the machine shop during the fabrication of complex parts and sub-assemblies.Reviewing existing manufacturing plans on legacy hardware to ensure compatibility of engineering drawings with fabrication capabilities.Making recommendations for improvements and drawing updates to enhance yield and production, as well as the implementation of Automation, Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies.
