First Presbyterian Nursery School (FPNS), New Canaan, CT
First Presbyterian Nursery School (FPNS) is a close-knit community of loving teachers dedicated to nurturing young children through play, exploration, and connection. We are a small, play-based preschool serving children ages 3–5. At FPNS, we emphasize community, joy, and teamwork. Our curriculum supports the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development of each child through hands-on experimentation, small-group/individual learning, and discovery. We are currently hiring an Assistant Teacher for our 3s classroom , where we help children become independent and develop a lifelong love of learning.
We are looking for a teacher who is:
- Warm, nurturing, and dedicated to the well-being of young children
- Passionate about early childhood development
- Collaborative, dependable, and fun to work with
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in planning and implementing hands-on activities that support children’s cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development
- Applying developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education principles to support each child's growth and Kindergarten readiness
- Supporting a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters exploration, creativity, and curiosity
- Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children at all times, both indoors and outdoors
Start Date: August 24, 2026
The 3s Class meets:
- Monday, Wednesday & Friday:: 9AM – 12PM
