Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Flexibility in work hours may occur, and Saturdays may be required.

Job Description

The Rehabilitation Services department offers a comprehensive range of services, including occupational therapy focused on evaluating and treating individuals with injuries, disabilities, or emotional challenges to enhance, maintain, or restore functional capabilities. The department is dedicated to meticulous maintenance of treatment records and the ongoing education and professional development of its staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the level of patient function, utilizing objective measurements and outcome measures.
• Provide direct patient treatment based on a developed occupational therapy plan of care under physician referral.
• Design and implement therapeutic activities to restore or maintain patient functioning.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver coordinated comprehensive screenings and rehabilitative care programs.
• Document all services rendered, maintaining accurate treatment records.
• Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care.
• Provide patient education and instructions on specific occupational therapy recommendations.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and economical patient care in accordance with organizational standards.
• Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Actively engage in continuing education and professional development efforts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid Occupational Therapy license in Hawaii.
• Experience in providing evaluations and treatment plans for Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation methods, treatment modalities, and patient care principles.
