• Approx. 6 - 8 shifts per month, likely consecutive or in blocks
• Est. 20,000 visits per year -- volume-based patient load per shift
• Hospitalists handle admissions -- ER providers focus on emergency care
• Newborn deliveries received in the ED -- L&D department on site
• APC shifts available -- physician coverage option for select hours
