Cook

Our Cooks create a wide range of culinary delights from eclectic to classic that include vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and meat-loving options. These items are part of our grab n' go cases as well as our deli case and provide delicious food for our guests to enjoy in our cafe or at home. Our Cafe also includes a Hot Bar with daily options and soups.


Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time / Required availability: open, weekend, and holiday availability

Pay: We Value Experience - Our starting pay ranges from $17.00-$18.46/hour , with higher starting pay for candidates who bring relevant experience.

Requirements

Experience:

• At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience

Key Responsibilities:

Cook

• Fills out prep list daily; prep lists include but are not limited to: hummus, pasta salads, bean salads, protein salads, cooking sauces, pastas, beans, glazes
• Produces all necessary product in a timely manner
• Ensures deli case par levels are full before the end of shift
• Works with the packagers regarding what products sell/do not sell
• Labels all finished products with the proper name and PLU number
• Works hot bar shifts when assigned on the weekly schedule; back up to hot bar station

Café Standards

• Follows and complies with established menus, recipes and Healthy Living brand standards
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of products; shares knowledge with others (guests and team members)
• Follows and complies with all state and NSF guidelines of sanitation
• Communicates in a timely manner with supervisor/manager regarding all needs
• Follows all established procedures to meticulously clean station at end of the shift
• Labels, dates and rotates all product per department protocol
• Focus on quality control and order accuracy to provide the best service for our guest.
• Willing and able to assist other areas as assigned by the manager/supervisor
• Brings ideas and suggestions to manager/supervisor in order to keep up with trends and to continually innovate café offerings following all café protocols for introducing new products
• Goes the extra mile for customers and maintains the highest standards of courteous, professional customer service and sensitivity to customer's and co-workers needs
