Role Description:

\n

We are seeking a Slate Solutions Specialist ( fulltime, part time, or consultant ) for a remote role with an option to work in our Vermont or Boston office if desired. In this position, the specialist supports optimization of Slate-related solutions for clients. Daily responsibilities can include configuring and maintaining Slate tools, and collaborating with internal teams to design effective workflows. The specialist communicates directly with both internal staff as well as clients to understand their goals, provide recommendations, and ensure that Slate solutions are aligned with their broader digital and enrollment communication strategies. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, developing solutions in Slate, documenting best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of processes and client outcomes.

• Serve as Pivot’s primary Slate systems resource and day-to-day technical partner for assigned higher education clients.
\n
• Work alongside our technical lead to support client Slate environments, including data imports, queries, forms, portals, workflows, campaigns, and other Slate functionality.
\n
• Help to monitor the accuracy, integrity, and flow of admission and enrollment data within Slate; identify data discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend or implement appropriate resolutions.
\n
• Build and maintain Slate queries, exports, reports, forms, portals, and workflows to support enrollment, admissions, marketing, and operational needs.
\n
• Support the development and maintenance of custom Slate portals used for prospective student engagement, event registration, application and enrollment workflows, internal processing, and other client-specific purposes.
\n
• Develop Slate Deliver campaigns, drip campaigns, automated communications, and other recruitment and enrollment communications in partnership with Pivot strategy and client teams.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve client processes through Slate automation, workflows, data management, and system efficiencies.
\n
• Translate client enrollment and operational needs into practical Slate solutions, balancing technical capabilities with usability and institutional goals.
\n
• Maintain documentation of client Slate configurations, processes, data flows, workflows, and recurring technical procedures to support continuity and knowledge sharing across the Pivot team.
\n
• Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to Pivot team members and client staff on Slate functionality and best practices when appropriate.
\n
• Collaborate with Pivot enrollment support, marketing, strategy, analytics, and technology teams to ensure Slate solutions align with broader client enrollment strategies and campaigns.
\n
• Participate in client meetings as the Slate subject-matter expert, translating technical concepts into clear, approachable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
\n
• Serve as a strategic partner to clients by identifying ways Slate can improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, strengthen the prospective student experience, and support enrollment goals.
\n
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of Pivot clients and the overall success of the team.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 4+ years of hands-on experience working in Technolutions Slate as an CRM associate, administrator or specialist required.
\n
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting data, monitoring performance, and identifying optimization opportunities.
\n
• Clear and professional communication skills for working with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
\n
• Experience working with Slate CRM, admissions system, student information system, or related higher education technology platform. Additional Salesforce experience a plus.
\n
• Higher education admissions, enrollment management, marketing, or student services experience strongly preferred.
\n
• Demonstrated experience building or managing Slate queries, forms, portals, workflows, reports, exports, and/or Deliver campaigns.
\n
• Self-motivated, curious, resourceful, and comfortable learning new technology and solving problems independently.
\n
• Collaborative and client-focused, with the ability to build trusted relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
\n
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and proactively recommend solutions rather than simply responding to requests.
