Job Overview Prime Staffing is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in Washington, District of Columbia. Job Details Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: Day – 5 days, 8 hours per day (08:00 – 16:30) Employment Type: Travel Location: Washington, District of Columbia Base Rate: within 60 miles – local rate; contact AM for details Responsibilities Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies including bone, lung, thyroid, and HIDA scans. Start and maintain peripheral IVs and perform patient assessments. Adhere to isolation precautions, radiation safety protocols, and proper handling/disposal of radioactive materials. Execute specialized molecular imaging procedures and maintain comprehensive knowledge of nuclear medicine theory and techniques. Provide effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams under stressful and emergent situations. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of hospital-based experience; 2 years preferred. First-time candidates allowed with 2 years experience in the field. Certifications: ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT); BLS. Proficiency with GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba equipment. Experience with HIDA, bone, lung, and thyroid scans, as well as DTPA aerosol and other molecular imaging studies. Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure. Valid DC license or pending DC license at time of submission; eligibility for license conversion.
