Legal Counsel (Real Estate Finance & Commercial Transactions)
Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially minded legal professional to support a fast-paced real estate finance business. The role partners closely with legal leadership and business teams on a wide range of transactional, financing, and operational legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (financing, leases, service contracts, NDAs, employment agreements)
- Support origination and servicing of real estate finance products
- Assist with structured finance transactions, including securitizations and CLO closings
- Support capital markets activity, including trade confirmations with counterparties
- Advise on loan documentation, borrower communications, defaults, and entity structures
- Assist with warehouse and repurchase agreement negotiations
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 3–6 years of experience in corporate, real estate, investment, or finance law
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable handling multiple legal disciplines
