Overview
MRI Technologist (Imaging/MRI) in Potsdam, New York. Start date: August 17, 2026. Duration: several weeks. Weekly pay: $2,186–$2,359. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 3 × 12-hour day shifts. Work setting: imaging department within a healthcare facility offering MRI services. This assignment uses a Siemens Espree 1.5T large-bore system with a BRACCO power injector.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams across brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, breast, and MSK (shoulder, hip, knee, extremities) using Siemens Espree 1.5T with appropriate surface coils; apply diffusion imaging and specialized sequences (MIP/MPR) as indicated.
- Conduct vascular MRI studies (MRA/MRV of head/neck/abdomen/thoracic regions) and specialized protocols (MRCP, gradient echo) while maintaining image quality and patient safety.
- Manage contrast administration, including preparation and use of a BRACCO power injector; establish IV access as needed.
- Prepare patients, screen for contraindications, monitor during scans, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam process.
- Accurately document exams and findings in the electronic medical record (EPIC); coordinate with the radiology team and support services as needed.
- May float to related imaging areas per unit needs; work collaboratively with PT, respiratory, interpretation services, phlebotomy, and other support teams.

Requirements
- Active New York state license in hand to submit.
- BLS certification.
- EPIC charting experience required.
- MRI experience: typically 2 years (note: compliance notes mention a 1-year minimum; confirm required experience with the account manager prior to submittal).
- MRI qualifications include brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, breast, and MSK imaging; vascular MRI (MRA/MRV) experience preferred; familiarity with Siemens Espree 1.5T is advantageous.
- Contrast media handling and injection experience (BRACCO injector) and IV skills.
- Ability to work a Monday–Friday daytime schedule; typical hours approximately 6:30 AM–7:00 PM; 3 × 12-hour shifts.
- Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu status not specified.
- This assignment requires compliance with local distance restrictions; candidates must be located at a distance that meets current policy (confirm with account manager prior to submittal).
