Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

The Warehouse Worker operates a sit-down propane forklift to move stock for outgoing shipments, loads and unloads trucks at the loading dock and in the yard, and accurately picks and allocates products using RF scanners. This role also involves cutting product to size with power saws, using tape measures daily, performing general clean-up after each shift, and safely lifting and moving materials as needed.

• Operate a sit-down propane forklift to move, stage, and organize stock for outgoing shipments.
• Load and unload trucks at the loading dock and in the yard in a safe and efficient manner.
• Pick orders for outgoing shipments using RF scanners, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Allocate and organize product within the warehouse according to established procedures.
• Use chain saws or skill saws to cut product to specified sizes while following safety guidelines.
• Measure materials with tape measures on a daily basis to confirm correct dimensions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and move or slide product up to 100 pounds as needed throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform general clean-up at the end of each shift.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures related to forklift operation, material handling, and equipment use.
• Support overall warehouse operations by performing general labor and material handling tasks as required.

• At least 2 years of experience operating forklifts, preferably sit-down propane forklifts.
• Proficiency in safe material handling, including lifting up to 50 pounds and moving or sliding product up to 100 pounds.
• Experience with inventory handling and order picking in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to use RF scanners to pick and track orders accurately.
• Comfort using tape measures to verify product dimensions.
• Ability to operate chain saws or skill saws to cut product to size while following safety practices.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse setting.
• Reliability in working full shifts and staying until all customer orders are completed.

• Experience working in both indoor warehouse and outdoor loading environments.
• Strong attention to detail when picking and allocating products.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Willingness to work overtime during busy periods, including evenings and Saturdays.
• Comfort working with hand tools and power equipment in a production or distribution setting.

This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with shifts that may extend to 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. depending on customer orders, and candidates are expected to stay until all orders are completed. Overtime is possible after regular hours and on Saturdays, especially during busy seasons. Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment, with periods of outdoor work while loading and unloading trucks in the yard. The setting involves active material handling, forklift operation, and use of power tools, requiring adherence to safety practices and appropriate work attire suitable for a warehouse and outdoor environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.

The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $20.81/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Billings,MT.
