Registered Nurse

Immediate need for a talented Registered Nurse – Rural ICU / Med Surg (Adult, Peds, Step Down). This is a 13 weeks contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Portales, NM(Onsite). Job ID: 26-23343 Pay Range: Weekly Gross Pay: $2,312.16 (subject to completion of scheduled hours) Shift: Nights – 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) Expected Hours: 36 hours per week Key Responsibilities: Perform head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy Revise standard of care as indicated by patient's response to treatment Formulate teaching plan based on identified learning needs; evaluate effectiveness Assess and reassess pain management techniques; educate patient and family Communicate appropriately to Nurse Manager, co-workers, and physicians Consult other departments for interdisciplinary approach to patient needs Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs Interact professionally with patient/family; involve them in plan of care Ensure documentation meets current standards and policies Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly Coordinate and supervise patient care as necessary within licensure Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience in ICU, Med Surg, or Step Down Experience with adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations required Current New Mexico RN license required (must be currently active) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA preferred) Meditech EMR experience preferred Holiday coverage required Locals are accepted – no radius restriction Our client is a leading Healthcare Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
