Staff Accountant

Brown & Brown is seekinga Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL! The Staff Accountant will perform operational, transactional, and technical accounting activitiesin accordance withestablishedpolicies, procedures, and objectives.Responsible for adherence to quality control standards - both corporate and industry directed. How You Will Contribute: Assistwith full cycle month end close functions in Agency and ERP systems. Reconcile bank accounts and all cash transactions,balance sheets,and other accounts monthly and as needed. Run monthly close reporting. Review and decision positive pay files daily. Ensure all support for transactions is processed and filed accurately andtimely. Prepare submission of documents as required byestablishedcontrols. Review and approve accuracy of supplier invoices. Assistwith the calculation of ASC 606 monthly and quarterly entries. Build courteous and successful relationships with various office staff tomaintainefficient practices. Promote teamwork, support, knowledgesharing,and a positive attitude in the department and office. Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation,coverage, and technology including professional development and continuing education. Skills & Experience to be Successful: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Word, and Excel. 1-3 years full cycle general ledger accounting experience. Preferred Insurance industry experience.
