Overview Join Texas Health Mansfield as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within an acute care setting. The role focuses on direct patient care across geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric populations, supporting peri‑operative nursing care and ensuring high standards of safety and infection control. Demonstrate critical thinking when interpreting changes in patients' immediate post‑operative conditions. Communicate patient information to all appropriate caregivers to ensure effective continuum of care. Manage and interpret all patient monitoring devices in the PACU environment competently. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Participate in the revision and review of unit‑specific policies and procedures, actively engaging in unit goals and performance improvement. Maintain appropriate infection control measures and ensure a safe patient environment. Assist with the care and maintenance of equipment and stock unit supplies. Other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications Computer proficiency – Required Excellent communication skills – Required Advanced IV skill set – Preferred Experience with medical records system – Preferred Education & Experience Associate’s Degree in Nursing – Required Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred 1+ years critical care acute hospital experience – Preferred 1+ years post‑anesthesia experience – Preferred 1+ years experience as a Registered Nurse in a PACU or critical care setting – Preferred Licenses & Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) – Required Basic Life Support – CPR Certificate (BLS) – Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) – Required Physical Requirements Physical requirements for the position are available upon request.
