Dental Hygienist
The Dental Hygienist performs routine dental prophylaxis, engages in patient education, and trains dental hygiene students with minimal supervision. This role requires adherence to compliance and values reflecting compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform oral prophylaxis by removing hard and soft deposits and stains from teeth surfaces, and polish all surfaces.
- Apply topical fluoride to teeth.
- Expose and develop radiographs.
- Provide oral hygiene instructions and counseling to patients.
- Offer nutrition and dietary counseling.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations.
- Review medical and dental health history of patients.
- Measure and record blood pressure.
- Chart dental diseases and conditions.
- Utilize Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene.
- No experience required; 1 year of experience preferred.
Required Licensure/Certification:
- South Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist.
Schedule Information:
- Work Hours: 39 hours per week.
- Days: Monday to Friday.
- Shift Start and End Times: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday), 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Friday).
- Closed on Major Holidays.
