Sr. Associate, Live Streaming Host & Moderator

$30-$50/Hr (After Factoring In Commission, Depending on Experience/Performance) Role Description This is a full time, on-site role for a Sr. Associate, Live Streaming Host located in the Washington DC/Baltimore Metropolitan Area. The Sr. Associate, Live Streaming Host will support live selling sessions by engaging with audiences, showcasing products, and leveraging exceptional communication skills to drive sales. The role also involves assisting with product preparation and organization to ensure smooth live streaming events. Additionally, flexing into either social media creation or back end operational support (like event management) may be expected at the Sr. Associate level. Role Duties Host and narrate live auction streams with high energy, confidence, and strong audience engagement Present and describe products clearly and persuasively while maintaining a consistent pace of 15-30+ showcased items per hour Actively monitor and respond to live chat to build rapport, encourage participation, and drive user conversion Verify all items and SKUs in advance to ensure successful run of show and a seamless presentation Showcase each item visually with clarity, highlighting key features and important details (critical to success in this role) Maintain professional camera setup and framing (iPhone/iPad), including a clean, organized background (shelving only; no ceiling visible) Ensure products remain centered and clearly visible on camera, especially during active bidding Arrive on time and be fully prepared to go live at the scheduled start time Present a polished, camera-ready appearance with visually appropriate attire Travel 60-80% of the time in the Washington DC/Baltimore area to seller locations to host streams. Commuting expenses may be covered depending on the distance from central Washington DC/Baltimore office. Requirements: Must be well versed in utilizing a computer and a mobile phone Must be familiar with live selling platforms like Whatnot, TikTok, eBay Live, Poshmark Must have a high energy, engaging personality, and be comfortable in front of the camera This role is available in Full Time (8 Hours/Day) iterations. Full Time iterations flex to be 4 hours of hosting, and 4 hours of moderating, or 8 hours of hosting (two separate events). Full Time hosts are eligible for benefits.
