Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CCU position requiring open-heart post-surgical experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Coronary Care Unit (CCU) setting within a hospital
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Cares for fresh post-open-heart surgery patients recovering directly from the OR
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum 2-3 years of CCU/ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Open-heart surgery recovery experience required
• Device experience with balloon pumps, Impella, or similar preferred
• Skills required include arterial line management, central/PICC line care, IV therapy, blood product administration, and ventilator management
• Experience with cardiac drips, vasoactive drip titration, and dysrhythmia management required
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, IV sedation, and EKG interpretation required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to post-cardiac surgery and cardiac intervention patients
• Perform sheath removal, epicardial pacing wire care, and TAVR/valve repair support as needed
• Required orientation modules completed and signed off by facility managers
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment with no block scheduling allowed
• Local travelers accepted at the same pay rate as non-local travelers
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being considered for rehire as a traveler
• Travel pairs accepted
