About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Surgical Unit at AHN Wexford is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients. Highlights Location: Wexford, PA Facility: AHN Wexford Schedule: Part-time What You'll Do Assess human responses and plan nursing care for individuals or families. Provide leadership in a professional practice setting. Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels. Supervise and evaluate assigned LPN scope of practice as appropriate. Participate on interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care or health services. Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives. Utilize the nursing process to implement patient plans of care. Analyze health status and determine patient care needs. Document changes in patient condition and notify physicians as necessary. Promote compassionate communication that is patient and family-centered. Requirements Education Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) required. Experience Preferred certification in area of specialty. Licenses & Certifications CPR certification required. Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
