This 18-bed unit is committed to delivering the best, high quality, compassionate care to multi-specialty med-surg patients. In addition, we specialize with heart failure patients and cardiac diagnoses. We ensure to focus on a partnership approach to deliver excellent care to every patient. Our variety of patients include those with Cardiac diagnoses, step down patients, Resp Failure, Sepsis, DKA, variety of diagnoses. We are a great unit to build a strong nursing foundation and critical thinking while collaborating with an excellent team of nursing staff.

Nursing skills gained on this unit:

• ACLS required
• Caring for Progressive level of care patients (stepdown from critical care)
• Patients going to cardiac procedures

Qualifications:

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
