Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year near Detroit, MI. This full-time role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about providing comprehensive support to students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional development.
Candidates with a current Michigan school psychologist certification are highly valued, though out-of-state professionals willing and able to secure Michigan licensure before the new school year are also encouraged to apply.
What You'll Need:
- Active school psychologist credential or eligibility to obtain Michigan licensure by the start of the school year
- Experience or strong interest in K-12 environments
- Familiarity with assessment tools, multi-tiered supports, and IEP/504 processes
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
- Ability to provide crisis intervention, counseling, and evidence-based mental health support
- Flexibility and adaptability when working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual assessments and interpretations to support the development of effective educational strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for the development, implementation, and progress monitoring of IEPs and Section 504 plans
- Provide social-emotional and behavioral interventions for students across multiple grade levels
- Support classroom teachers with strategies for academic and behavioral success
- Serve as a resource for crisis response and assist with family outreach as needed
