Skandinavia Contemporary Interiors has an immediate opening for a full-time home furnishing sales/interior designer who is outgoing, enthusiastic and have a passion for design and quality - helping our customers create the perfect feel and atmosphere in their homes while maintaining high customer service standards at our South Austin location. Requirements: Take a consultative selling approach to building customer relationships as you help prospective buyer's select home furnishing pieces that best suit their needs. Provide design services in showroom for furniture, accessories and rug selection including finish, color customization and style options. Generate sales as a result of in-store and in-home consultations. Develop and maintain expert product knowledge on all of our merchandise. Demonstrate design skills, professional communication, and follow-up skills. Energy, enthusiasm, and patience backed by an entrepreneurial spirit. Maintain the appearance of the store at all times. Attend and participate in weekly store meetings and individual meetings. Develop expert knowledge of our procedures and computer systems. Must have excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and as a team. Collaborate on posts for social media. Skills/Talents Required: Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays Bachelor's degree preferred; HS Diploma required. Minimum 2 years of proven retail sales/customer service -furniture experience and background in interior design strongly preferred. High-end apparel and luxury retail sales experience considered. Exceptional sales and customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communications. Bilingual a plus. Be able to lift 25 pounds. Ability to work well in a team concept and on your own.
