Radiation Therapist - Mesquite, Tx

Overview Texas Oncology is seeking a Radiation Therapist to support the TXO Mesquite location. What the Radiation Therapist does The Radiation Therapist, under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accurate positioning and dose delivery, and adhering to compliance programs. Responsibilities Accurately deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist. Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record. Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students. Assist in maintaining patient appointment schedules and submitting correct billing information. Accurately cut blocks, when applicable. Make custom molds. Complete simple MU calculations. Interpret computerized treatment plans. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program. ARRT certification required. Valid state license for radiation therapy. Physical Demands Employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Requires vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges.
