Warehouse PickerThis contract-to-hire Warehouse Picker role on 1st shift involves accurately picking, packing, and staging a wide range of products in a large parts distribution center. You will sort boxes onto the correct pick pallets, support forklift operations, and handle items ranging from small handheld boxes to heavy machine parts using lifting equipment. The position requires strong attention to detail, consistent quality, and flexibility with working hours in a fully on-site, inclusive warehouse environment.ResponsibilitiesSort boxes and place them on the correct pick pallets for forklift operators.Pick and pack products of various sizes, from small handheld boxes to thousand-pound machine parts, using appropriate lifting equipment.Use an RF scanner to locate, identify, and verify products and orders accurately.Load and unload semi-trailers with completed pallets in a safe and efficient manner.Perform order picking, packaging, and general warehouse labor tasks as needed.Assist with inventory-related activities within the warehouse distribution environment.Operate or support forklift operations, including being prepared to work on a forklift once trained and certified.Follow established quality standards and procedures to prevent shipping errors and misdirected shipments.Essential Skills3–6 months of warehouse experience.Experience with picking and packing products in a warehouse or distribution environment.Ability to use an RF scanner for order picking and verification.Ability to load and unload semi-trailers safely and efficiently.Experience with general labor tasks in a warehouse setting.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift experience is preferred but not required.Willingness to receive forklift training and certification provided by the employer.Experience in warehouse distribution, inventory, order picking, and packaging is beneficial.Comfort working in a large, open parts distribution center with a variety of products and material handling equipment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
