RN - PCU/Step Down

This is a Charge RN role in the Cardiac and Medical PCU - True ICU Stepdown at IU Health Arnett Hospital. The unit handles heart caths, BiPap, and cardiac and vasoactive drips. The telemetry, IV start, cardiac & vasoactive drips, BiPAP and high flow oxygen required. Level I, II, III, or IV required. Vents, charge nurse experience, conscious sedation preferred.

Shift Details: Night 4x12-hour (18:00 - 06:30). Guaranteed hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr. shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek. Must work 2/3 major holidays.

Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, manage cardiac drips-no titration, manage vasoactive drips-no titration, management of dysrhythmias, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, peripheral line care/management, post cardiac angiogram, pre/post cardiac cath, starting and maintaining IVs, titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips, titration of insulin drips, tracheostomy care/management, use of rapid response/code teams, post watchman and ablation.

Experience Required: 18 months. First timers accepted: Yes. Weekends required: Yes. Local accepted: No. Pending license accepted: No. IN-STATE LICENSE / REQUIRED CERTS MUST BE IN HAND TO SUBMIT.
