Continuous Improvement Engineer

Vector's partner in Lake County is seeking a hands-on Continuous Improvement Engineer to help improve on-time delivery, production efficiency, and manufacturing processes within our fabrication and assembly operations. This is a highly visible role that works directly with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to identify problems, eliminate waste, and implement sustainable process improvements.All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.Responsibilities· Drive initiatives that improve on-time delivery (OTD), labor efficiency, and production flow.· Spend time on the production floor daily identifying bottlenecks, part shortages, and process inefficiencies.· Partner with production supervisors to resolve manufacturing issues and prevent recurring problems.· Conduct time studies, analyze production data, and develop standard work.· Lead root cause investigations using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.· Coordinate improvement projects across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.· Track key performance metrics and provide recommendations that improve productivity and reduce rework.Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.· 3-7 years of manufacturing or production experience.· Experience with assembly operations and sheet metal fabrication preferred.· Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), time studies, and root cause analysis.· Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. xhyhwjd · Comfortable working on the shop floor and collaborating with employees at all levels.
