Job Description:

• Seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead a Workday migration testing project. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in data migration testing from PeopleSoft systems to Workday, particularly within the HR and Payroll modules, utilizing tools such as SQR. This role requires strong project management capabilities, functional knowledge of Workday, and the ability to support the client in updating their HR systems. ( Payroll Absence Tracking, Core HR, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Reporting and Analytics, Workforce planning).
• He/she will provide subject matter expertise across multiple HR domains and contribute world-class approaches to discovery, fit-gap, process design and reengineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Workday migration testing project from inception to completion.
• Data Migration testing experience from PeopleSoft systems to Workday using SQR, other tools
• Functional Automation testing using Selenium, etc.
• API testing using RestAssured, ReadyAPI
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data migration from PeopleSoft and related application to Workday.
• Utilize SQR and other tools to perform thorough data migration testing.
• Provide project management support, including planning, scheduling, and reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Provide functional expertise in Workday, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrates substantial project implementation experience in one or more of the following Workday functional areas :Payroll Absence Tracking, Core HR, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Reporting and Analytics, Workforce planning
• Independently work on technical design, configuration, deployment and maintenance of Workday modules
• As a Functional expert, you’ll be expected to work as individual or part of a team helping to solve complex problems from strategy to execution.
• Strong consulting skills, handling customer requirements & expectations
• Serve as a strong consultative partner to our clients.
• Analyse, design and help build new solutions as per customer requirements and build complex custom reports for our clients.
• Plan, design and optimise security roles configurations for each client to support User Based Securities in Workday
• Provide support and guidance in system integrations from an architecture & hands on support role to manage (in & outbound integration issues and resolution)
• Stay abreast of new functionality becoming available in Workday and drive client adoption and deployment of newly released features and functions.
• Strong understanding of Workday security architecture and how to maintain it.
• Lead one or multiple functional domains.
• Coordinate with consultants from offshore locations.
• Organize discovery workshops across functional domains
• Business analysis representing a specific area(s) of functional expertise e.g. Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Absence, Time tracking, etc
• Work as a part of a project team to support architecture, scoping, implementation and post-production phases of the projects
• Work with the Customer to identify data to be converted from legacy systems
• Support the data cleaning, conversion and respective validation processes
• Configure Workday according to customer requirements
• Test business processes and Workday configuration
• Develop and deliver customer-specific training and documentation
• Work independently. Take direction and provide status to the Engagement Manager assigned to their project
• Coordinate assigned deliverable schedules to ensure client's timelines are met
• Contribute to business development, by Solutioning new deals and presenting solutions and offerings to prospects.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data migration testing from PeopleSoft to Workday particularly within the HR and Payroll modules.
• Extensive experience in Data Validation testing
• Proficiency in SQR and other data migration tools.
• Good Functional knowledge of Workday features and functionalities.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in data migration and testing.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Functional knowledge of Workday - HR Processes
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Integration work stream lead on Enterprise projects
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Coordinate end-to-end and user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles with business stakeholders
• Actively participate in hands-on testing — this is not a purely oversight role
• Track and manage defects through resolution using defect management tools
• Ensure testing deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards
• Partner closely with project managers, functional consultants, and client SMEs to ensure smooth collaboration and issue resolution.
• Identify process improvements for testing methodology and execution
• Provide regular status updates and communicate risks/issues effectively to leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workday-specific certifications ( Workday Pro / Workday HCM).
• Experience in HR systems implementation and migration projects.
• Good Functional knowledge of Workday features and functionalities.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in data migration and testing.
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday testing experience, including leading testing efforts for Workday deployments or major upgrades
• Strong understanding of testing lifecycle, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
• Previous experience leading UAT cycles and coordinating with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and client management skills; able to interact comfortably with stakeholders at all levels
• Workday HCM Certification
• Any workday advanced certification recruiting, compensation, talent, absence, time tracking etc will be an added advantage.
• Practical experience gained on AMS projects
• Practical experience gained on data migration and/or integrations projects (e.g. during “to Cloud” transformation projects)
• Strong analytical mindset and usage of analytics and reporting tools (e.g. pivot tables)
• 6-8years in Workday eco-system delivering technical solutions to clients during initial deployments thru to rolling adoption and take up of new modules and releases
• Experience in Workday HCM and Advance Compensation (one or more projects).
• Workday HCM Certified and one or more advanced certifications (Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, etc.).
• Strong consulting skills, handling customer expectations
• Excellent communication skills delivering to functional and management audiences.
• Practical experience gained on HCM implementation projects.
• Good understanding of technical topics (reports, data migration, integrations projects).
