We are looking for an entry level HR Coordinator to join a non-profit organization in Culver City, California on a Contract basis. This onsite role supports day-to-day human resources operations by coordinating employee programs, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with recruiting and compliance activities. The position is ideal for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple administrative priorities in a fast-paced HR environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate employee training sessions, communicate attendance expectations, and maintain accurate completion records within learning and tracking systems.

• Support personnel changes by preparing HR documentation, routing approvals, and following through to ensure timely processing with the appropriate internal teams.

• Maintain HR data integrity by updating records, preparing reports, and organizing documentation for leadership, vendors, funders, and regulatory purposes.

• Assist with onboarding activities for new employees, including orientation support and employee badge preparation or replacement.

• Help develop and deliver HR-related training materials and presentations under the guidance of HR leadership.

• Respond to HR questions from employees and external parties with professionalism, discretion, and timely follow-up.

• Monitor compliance items such as medical clearances, licenses, and other time-sensitive employment requirements, and communicate with employees and supervisors regarding updates.

• Contribute to recurring and special HR projects such as open enrollment support, audits, employee file reviews, mailings, and other administrative initiatives.

• Prepare routine employment-related paperwork, including verification requests and unemployment documentation, in accordance with established procedures.

• Provide task guidance to assigned trainees as needed by organizing work in advance and explaining assignments clearly.

• Experience supporting HR administration in areas such as onboarding, employee records, benefits support, or talent acquisition coordination.
• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and comfort maintaining accurate data in tracking systems and electronic forms.
• Familiarity with HR compliance processes, including document tracking, background checks, and employment-related recordkeeping.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage confidential information and handle time-sensitive tasks accurately.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, supervisors, vendors, and outside contacts.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Culver City, California.
• Proficiency with standard office software and the ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and administrative documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining dependable attendance and professionalism.
