About the Position

Our client is seeking a Regional CDL A Driver for a hands-on driving opportunity based in Saco, Maine. This role involves regional routes throughout New Hampshire and Vermont, with returns to Maine and overnight layovers in the sleeper. Drivers will transport pre-hung doors to millwork stores while providing heavy-touch freight handling.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $33 per hour
Additional Compensation: $75 per night per diem
Overtime: Available after 40 hours
Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,500
Schedule: Monday and Tuesday through Thursday and Friday
Hours per Week: 40
Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Job Details

Route Type: Regional routes to New Hampshire and Vermont, with returns to Maine
Freight: Pre-hung doors delivered to millwork stores
Equipment: Sleeper for overnight layovers
Handling: Heavy-touch freight involving doors weighing approximately 100 to 125 pounds each
Stops: Approximately 7 to 12 stops per day

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a CDL A commercial vehicle on regional routes
Transport and deliver pre-hung doors to millwork stores
Tailgate doors weighing approximately 100 to 125 pounds each
Coordinate with receivers, who will complete the unloading process
Complete approximately 7 to 12 delivery stops per day
Follow all applicable safety and transportation regulations

Minimum Requirements

Valid CDL A
1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
Must be at least 21 years old
