Physician - Transplant Hepatologist - Royal Oak, MI

Department: Gastroenterology & Hepatology Position Type: Full-Time, Clinical Faculty / Attending Location: Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital We are seeking a highly skilled BC/BE gastroenterologist / Hepatologist with training in Transplant Hepatology to join our expanding liver disease and transplant program. This position combines hepatology care with transplant hepatology responsibilities, including evaluation and management of patients before and after liver transplantation. It also includes some general GI care. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional clinical care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to teaching, research, and program development. Physician will be able to perform both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, be involved in clinical trials, inpatient consults and rounds on the hospital, teaching of gastroenterology fellows, residents, and medical students, involvement in tumor board, and direct engagement with referring providers, among other responsibilities. Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients before and after liver transplantation. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Participate in clinical trials. Provide inpatient consults and rounds. Teach gastroenterology fellows, residents, and medical students. Participate in tumor board meetings. Engage with referring providers. Qualifications BE/BC Gastroenterology BE/BC Transplant Hepatology Interest in teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows Unrestricted License and DEA – Michigan MD/DO Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including being an empathetic and persuasive communicator and a respectful listener who can create an atmosphere that allows individuals to flourish within the context of the team.
