Inspects items and equipment for defects, inconsistencies, cleanliness standards, packaging errors, etc.Adheres to and assurance compliance with all USDA, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety/Food Safety procedures, standards and guidelinesMonitors quality indicators and works closely with quality assurance team to monitor, maintain and document processes for compliance, product specifications and standards; may include chemical testing to ensure proper titration, monitoring of inbound and outbound shipments and trailersWorks closely across multiple teams to maintain process continuity and ensure seamless operations with timely product deliveryIdentifies and quickly resolves any issues in the process, including machinery breakdowns, material shortages, or process inefficienciesMaintains daily records of activities, performance metrics, and any issues that arise.Monitors various processes tracking, collecting data, and/or documenting as needed, including microbial findings and lab scores. Provides reports to inform opportunities.Assists with Pre-Op processInitiates and assists in foreign material investigationsHelps provide input on process improvementsTrain/retrain hourly team members, Process Controllers and QA Technicians as needed, including when developing new processesMust cross train in other areasPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)High school diploma, GED, or equivalentMust be able to use basic math and typing skillsMust be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as requiredMust be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physicalEssential Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of production machinery and/or processesGood learning agilityOrganization, time-management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills with the ability to ensure timeliness of all quality checksAbility to troubleshoot and solve routine problems and equipment/process issues using established standardsDetail-oriented with the ability to maintain quality and safety standardsGood communication and teamwork skills with the ability to effectively interact across multiple teamsAbility to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needsBasic computer skills for data entry and reportingPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience in manufacturing or production environment, preferably in process controlPhysical DemandsAbility to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe mannerStanding (8 hours a day or more)Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)Reaching overhead (up to and including 25lbs)Working at heightsGripping, grasping and twisting using wrists, hands and fingersBending and stooping for short periods of timeWorking below knee levels for short periods of timeWorking above shoulder level for short periods of timeSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focusWorking Conditions & Travel RequirementsWork is performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities.Position requires working around processing plant equipmentMust be physically capable of working extended hours if needed and in a wet environment, standing for long periods of time, and operating processing equipmentThis position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environmentThe noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protectionThis position does not require travelDisclaimerWe embrace equal opportunity employment.
