Senior Manager, Media Engagement (Contract Employee)

Job summary: The the company's Media Team is looking for a Senior Manager, Media Engagement (Contract Employee) who will oversee and lead a diverse portfolio of accounts, securing targeted media exposure for the the company's social impact campaigns, including, but not limited to the ideation, execution, and evaluation of strategic partnerships. You will sit within the Media Strategy and Engagement Center of Excellence (COE). We are seeking candidates who are passionate about building new relationships with media companies, cultivating existing ones and exploring innovative ways to work with all partners to deliver maximum impact that will benefit the the company's social issue campaigns. You may also be responsible for managing or mentoring junior team members. Engagement & Compensation: This is a contract employee role. This means that, while the position is at all times one of "at will employment", the the company anticipates at present that the employment length would be approximately 6 months with the possibility to extend the contract. The compensation for this position is within the range of $7,500 - $8,000 monthly (depending on level of experience) and is paid semi-monthly. Contract employees will be eligible to participate in limited benefits and paid time off. We are also open to this role being a fully remote position. What you'll do: Develop, nurture, and grow strong relationships with a portfolio of accounts, including those with senior level contacts Manage day-to-day responsibilities on an assigned list of media accounts, such as ongoing securing, tracking, optimization, and evaluation of donated media support Prospect new business and opportunities with a focus on growth areas such as streaming audio, OTT, new video platforms, gaming companies, and retail media networks Oversee the development, implementation, and impact of strategic, 360-degree media partnerships with the the company's most impactful partners, with support and coaching from COE team lead(s) Create engagement strategy for assigned media partner accounts, provide strategic guidance on quarterly campaign planning, and manage outreach and implementation Support the training and development of team members as needed, such as summer interns and new hires within the Media department Attend industry events (e.g. conferences, trainings, etc.), represent the the company as needed, and share key learnings with the broader Media Center of Excellence Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal and external teams to concept, execute and manage partnerships that maximize social good impact and drive campaign core KPIs Keep a pulse on the cutting edge of media and advertising technologies and proactively identify opportunities for the company campaigns to test, engage, and scale across the media landscape to foster innovation Serve on internal cross-functional teams or special projects to represent the media team and add value to the organization Complete administrative tasks such as updating Salesforce, tracking donated media support in internal measurement platform, updating internal stakeholders on project development, and filling out timesheets on a consistent basis. What you bring: 5+ years professional sales, marketing, or agency experience, with experience executing strategic partnerships A passion for, and a comprehensive knowledge of media and advertising industries Ability to build, strengthen and maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to self-edit and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, internally and externally Ability to translate strategic direction into actional plans, and exercise sound judgment to prioritize work, identify risks and solutions, and proactively advance initiatives Initiative and confidence to self-start on complex assignments and drive outcomes with minimal oversight Excellent project management skills: organized and detail-oriented with a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced team oriented, deadline-driven environment; ability to expertly manage multiple projects simultaneously and manage-up to superiors Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize information across stakeholders and anticipate downstream implications The ability to work collaboratively and effectively cross-functionally; willingness to manage conflict and difficult situations; eagerness to mentor A positive, empathetic mindset and a fearless openness to finding opportunities where others may not.
