Job Description Job Description Job Summary: JC&E Transportation INC is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious OTR Dry Van Driver to transport freight across regional and nationwide routes. The driver will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of customer shipments while maintaining compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Key Responsibilities: * Operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer with a dry van trailer safely and efficiently. * Transport freight to customer locations throughout the United States. * Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment. * Ensure freight is properly loaded, secured, and delivered without damage. * Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs), fuel receipts, and delivery documentation. * Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures. * Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and delivery updates. * Report vehicle maintenance needs and safety concerns promptly. * Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries. * Plan routes and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Qualifications: * Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). * Minimum of 1-2 years of OTR driving experience preferred. * Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). * Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check. * Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements. * Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs). * Strong work ethic and commitment to safety. Physical Requirements: * Ability to enter and exit the truck cab multiple times daily. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. * Ability to work in varying weather and road conditions. * Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Preferred Skills: * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. * Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. * Experience with long-haul freight transportation.
