The position is regular part-time (64 hours bi-weekly), hours vary between 7am-7pm (generally 8-hour shifts) including rotating weekends. Individual compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience and internal equity. Placement within the range will be based on the candidate's qualifications and alignment with the requirements of the role.Job SummaryThe Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in all phases of the medication delivery system; including ordering, stocking, purchasing, manufacturing, dispensing, delivery, inspection and charge functions.Pre-requisitesEducation: High school graduate or equivalent required. Eligible for Vermont State Pharmacy Technician registration, national certification preferred.Experience: Previous hospital or medical experience, particularly with medication preferred.RelationshipsReports To: Pharmacy ManagerPerforms duties under the supervision and control of a licensed PharmacistSupervises: NoneOther Contacts: Medical staff, nursing staff and other hospital employees, patients, public, vendor representativesScopeMachinery or Equipment Used: Pharmaceutical and office equipment including; compounding equipment, infection administration equipment, unit-dose equipment, labeling materials, personal computer, and other office equipmentPhysical Demands: Manual dexterity and mobility, ability to stand/walk for protracted periodWorking Conditions: May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases.
