Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Summary:
Operates radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of designated body parts as ordered by physicians. Ensures patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, positioning patients and adjusting equipment for optimal imaging quality.

Responsibilities:

• Position patients accurately and prepare them for imaging exams.
• Operate x-ray and fluoroscopy equipment in accordance with physician orders.
• Explain procedures to patients, addressing questions and concerns.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed, monitoring patients during exams.
• Document exam details and verify images on PACS for review.
• Maintain and prepare equipment and examination rooms for each procedure.

Qualifications:

• Hold an ARRT-R certification and valid radiologic technician license in CA or HI.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in radiologic technology, including portable and C-arm procedures.
• Proficient in operating fluoroscopy and portable x-ray equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety and patient positioning techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
