Commercial Construction Project Engineer / Coordinator in Nashville

Job Summary The Project Engineer/Administrator is responsible for supporting the successful execution of general construction projects by assisting the Project Manager and Estimator throughout all phases—from pre-construction through closeout. This role ensures accurate documentation, efficient communication, and timely coordination of project activities to maintain budget, schedule, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Pre‑Construction Assist Estimator with quantity take-offs, bid solicitations, and subcontractor/vendor coordination Organize and maintain bid documents, drawings, and specifications Support Project Manager in developing preliminary schedules and budgets Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to gather design inputs Help prepare and track pre‑construction deliverables (e.g., RFIs, submittals, permits) Maintain project opportunity updates in BuildR or other CRM tools Course of Construction Track and update project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, and change orders (OCOs/SCOs) Maintain accurate project documentation and logs (e.g., delay logs, submittal logs) Support billing processes by preparing draft pay applications and tracking SOVs in RedTeam Coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules Attend and document OAC meetings, distributing minutes and action items Assist with quality control documentation and site visit coordination Ensure subcontractor compliance with insurance, safety, and documentation requirements Project Closeout Assist in compiling closeout documents, including as‑built drawings, warranties, and O&M manuals Track and process final billings, retention, and lien releases Help file Notice of Completion and ensure timely project wrap‑up Participate in lessons‑learned meetings and documentation reviews Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field 1–3 years of experience in a project support role within construction or engineering Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (e.g., RedTeam, Procore), and estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam) Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
