Speech Therapist - Home Health

Role Overview The Speech Therapist 2 assesses, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency disorders. Works independently to develop and implement care plans, recommend communication aids, monitor progress, and counsel patients and families. Follows established guidelines, interprets clinical information, and makes informed decisions to improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Identify functional speech defects and establish personalized care plans. Assess and treat a variety of speech and related disorders. Maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and provide patient and family counseling. Recommend communication devices or aids when needed. Operate with minimal supervision, following procedural guidelines. Qualifications & Skills Master’s or Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP). Licensed as an SLP or completing supervised clinical practicum with relevant experience. At least one year of clinical SLP experience. Successfully passed national SLP exam. Current CPR certification. Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity. Strong customer service orientation. Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
