Welcome to The Rustic
The Rustic is coming to Grandscape in The Colony, and we're building our opening team. Born in Uptown Dallas, The Rustic is a Texas original where live music, wood-grilled food, and ice-cold Texas beer come together under one roof. Guests come for local musicians every night, hand-crafted American favorites like The Rustic Burger and Texas Hot Chicken, premium cocktails, daily happy hour, and family-friendly weekend brunch. Whether it's a night out with friends, a birthday, or a lazy Sunday brunch, The Rustic brings together good food, good music, and good people.
The RoleOur runners connect the kitchen, the bar, and our guests. You'll get food and drinks to the right table quickly and accurately, help servers keep up with guest needs, and keep the floor moving on our busiest nights. As part of the opening team, you'll train with us from day one and help set the tone for a brand-new location. If you want to grow in the restaurant industry and learn what great service looks like, you'll play a key role in Creating Remarkable Memories for our guests.
Compensation: hourly wage plus tip share.
What You'll Do• Deliver food and drink orders from the kitchen and bar to guests' tables quickly and accurately, indoors and on the patio
• Serve food at the proper temperature and in correct seat order
• Pay close attention to special requests and allergies, and communicate any changes or mistakes to the kitchen right away
• Help guests with additional orders and refills in partnership with their server
• Answer guest questions about ingredients and menu items
• Clear used dishes and utensils and safely bring them to the dish area
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
What We're Looking For• Food runner, busser, or other restaurant experience is a plus
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
• Ability to multitask and stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Clear communication with guests, servers, and the kitchen
• Positive attitude and a genuine team mindset
• Participation in the restaurant's tip pool
• TABC Seller-Server Certification and Texas Food Handler Certification
Physical Requirements• Ability to stand and walk for full shifts, including patio service
• Ability to carry heavy trays and lift up to [25] lbs
• Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and brunch shifts
