This role tracks payments, follows up on outstanding balances, and communicates with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing discrepancies.Additional responsibilities may include managing accounts receivable, reconciling financial records, and generating reports for management. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of insurance procedures, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.This is a primarily remote position with an expectation to work onsite in the Rome office 1–2 days per month.Job Requirements:Knowledge of working aging reports, researching unpaid claims, and submitting appeals to insurance companies.Ability to answer patient and telephone inquiries related to billed claims with courtesy and thoroughness.Ability to perform billing functions within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
